The town

Poole makes things. That's a content advantage most businesses would pay for.

Poole's economy is noticeably different to its neighbour's. Alongside the harbour and the visitor trade there's a serious marine industry, precision engineering and manufacturing, and a spread of trade and industrial businesses across the estates north of the town. Add the residential contrast — Sandbanks and Canford Cliffs at one end, working estates at the other — and you get a business base that skews far more towards B2B and trade than Bournemouth's does.

That matters, because businesses that physically make something have an enormous unfair advantage in content and almost never use it. A workshop, a production line, a hull being finished, a component machined to a tolerance nobody can see — that's genuinely interesting footage. Service businesses have to manufacture something to show. You already have it.

Most of the work we do in Poole is helping companies realise that what they find boring, because they see it daily, is the most compelling thing they own.

B2B content

What social media is actually for when you don't sell to consumers.

Nobody buys a £40,000 machine off Instagram. That isn't the point.

For a trade or B2B business the return on content isn't direct sales, and judging it that way leads people to abandon it. The return is two other things, both worth more.

Credibility before the enquiry. A buyer who's been given your name will look you up before they call. What they find — a current website, evidence of recent work, a company that clearly still exists and takes itself seriously — decides whether the call happens at all. That check takes thirty seconds and you never know it occurred.

Recruitment. Skilled trades are hard to hire. Companies that show their workshop, their people and their standards attract applicants that companies with no visible presence never hear from. For a lot of Poole manufacturers that's the single highest-value outcome of doing this properly.

Harbour to industrial estate.

The Quay and old town, Sandbanks and Canford Cliffs, Parkstone and Ashley Cross, Broadstone, Creekmoor, Hamworthy and the Nuffield and Mannings Heath estates — plus Bournemouth and Christchurch next door.

No travel charge within BCP, which makes a two-hour shoot a sensible thing to book rather than an event that has to justify a day rate.

Questions

What Poole businesses ask.

FAQ

Do you work with trade and manufacturing businesses?

Yes, and they're often the most rewarding. Businesses that make a physical thing have far more to show than a service company — and most are sitting on excellent content they've never filmed.

We sell B2B. Is social media worth it?

Usually yes, but for credibility and recruitment rather than direct sales. Judge it on whether buyers and applicants find a company worth taking seriously, not on likes.

Which parts of Poole do you cover?

The whole borough — Quay, Sandbanks, Parkstone, Ashley Cross, Broadstone, Hamworthy and the industrial estates. No travel charge within BCP.

Can you photograph products as well as premises?

Yes, and for a manufacturer it's often the best value available — product images get used for years across the website, brochures, trade press and sales decks. See production.

Our industry is niche. Will you understand it?

Not on day one. We'd spend a day on site first, which is the only honest way to do it — and usually where the good material turns up.

We take on a small number of new projects each quarter. If it's a fit, you'll hear back within a day with honest thoughts — not a proposal deck.
