The town

Bournemouth is three economies sharing a postcode.

There's the visitor economy — hotels, restaurants, attractions and everything that lives or dies by the summer. There's a substantial professional and financial services presence, much of it back-office operations for national firms. And there's a creative and digital cluster fed by two universities, one of them an arts university, which means an unusual concentration of design and film graduates for a town this size.

Those three groups need very different things from content. A seafront restaurant needs volume and speed through the season. A financial services firm needs credibility and restraint. An agency or studio needs to look better than its competitors at a glance, because that is the pitch.

We work with all three, which is mostly a matter of knowing which one you are before proposing anything.

Seasonality

The mistake almost every seasonal business makes with content.

Producing content in August, when nobody has a spare minute.

If your trade is seasonal, your content calendar has to run ahead of it, not alongside it. The summer is when you should be spending a content library, not building one — and the businesses that struggle are almost always the ones trying to shoot, write and post during their busiest twelve weeks.

We plan and shoot in the shoulder months. February and October are quiet, staff have time, and a single well-planned day produces enough material to run the channels right through the season. It costs less, it looks better, and nobody is being asked to write captions during a Saturday service.

For non-seasonal businesses the same logic applies to your own cycle — batch ahead of the busy period, whenever yours falls.

What we do here

Five services, taken together or on their own.

  • 01

    Content Strategy

Work out what to say, then make it. Audit, tone of voice, formats, calendar.

  • 02

    Social Media

Planned a month ahead, approved by you, published on time. Month to month.

  • 03

    Production

Video and photography on location across Bournemouth. You keep the raw files.

  • 04

    Web Design

Fast hand-built sites, no page-builder bloat, handed over with the files.

  • 05

    SEO

Technical foundations first, then the local signals that win "near me".

Areas

Across the town and out to the BCP boundary.

Town centre and the Lansdowne, Westbourne, Boscombe and Pokesdown, Southbourne, Charminster and Winton, Talbot and the university quarter, plus Christchurch and Poole next door.

Travel isn't charged within the BCP area, which makes short, frequent shoots viable rather than one big annual production — usually the better way to build a content library on a small budget.

Questions

What Bournemouth businesses ask.

FAQ

Do you have an office in Bournemouth?

No — we're a small studio that works on site with clients rather than from a town centre office. Meetings happen at your premises or on a call. It keeps overheads, and therefore fees, well below an agency paying for a shopfront.

How does seasonality affect content here?

Enormously, if you're tourism or hospitality. Plan and shoot in the shoulder months so the season runs on a library that already exists.

Which parts of Bournemouth do you cover?

All of it, plus Christchurch and Poole. No travel charge within BCP.

Can you help us compete with much bigger companies?

That's usually the brief. Local search is where a small business can realistically outrank a national one — proximity and relevance count for more than budget, and it doesn't stop working when you stop paying. See SEO.

What does it cost?

Quoted per project after a short conversation, fixed in writing before anything starts. The full process.

Next step

Tell us what you're
trying to build.

We take on a small number of new projects each quarter. If it's a fit, you'll hear back within a day with honest thoughts — not a proposal deck.
