The problem

Social media is rarely a creativity problem. It's a capacity problem.

Almost every small business owner we speak to already knows roughly what they should be posting. What they don't have is the two hours a week, every week, forever — and the moment things get busy, the channels are the first thing to slip. Then a quiet month becomes a quiet quarter, the algorithm stops serving the account, and starting again is harder than keeping going would have been.

Handing it to whoever is least busy doesn't fix it either. It just distributes the inconsistency.

We take the whole thing off your desk — or set it up so well your own team can run it without it eating them alive.

What a month looks like

The same rhythm every month, so nothing depends on anyone feeling inspired.

Monthly cycle

  1. Plan. A content calendar for the month ahead, mapped against what's actually happening in your business — launches, seasons, events, quiet periods.
  2. Approve. You see everything before it's scheduled. Comments, changes, sign-off. No surprises.
  3. Make. Assets shot, designed or written. Batched, because five things made in one session cost far less than five made separately.
  4. Publish. Scheduling, captions, tags, links, correct formats per platform — and a check that everything actually went out.
  5. Respond. Comments, DMs and inbox monitored through the month. This is where most real business conversations start.
  6. Report. What went out, what performed, what changes next month — in plain English, including which numbers don't mean anything.

Included

What's in a retainer.

  • Channel strategy

Which platforms deserve your effort and which are a tax on your time. Usually fewer than you'd think.

  • Daily management

Scheduling, publishing, monitoring and the small reactive posts that keep an account feeling alive.

  • Community

Replies, DMs and comments handled in your tone of voice, escalated to you when they're genuine enquiries.

  • Monthly reporting

Honest numbers with context. Vanity metrics get named as vanity metrics.

Locally

Local accounts need local content.

A social feed for a business in Bournemouth, Poole or Christchurch that could belong to a company anywhere doesn't do the job. The accounts that work locally show the actual place — the premises, the team, the town, the weather, the regulars.

That means shoot days, not stock. Being fifteen minutes away rather than three hours makes that practical on a small budget, which is the whole reason we keep the roster local and small.

FAQ

How much does social media management cost?

Quoted per business after a short conversation — one channel posting weekly and four posting daily aren't comparable. You'll get a fixed monthly figure in writing before anything starts.

Is there a minimum contract?

No. Month to month, thirty days notice either way. We'd rather earn the next month than lock you into twelve.

Which platforms should we actually be on?

Usually fewer than you think. We'd rather run one or two channels properly than five badly. It depends on where your customers already are and what your business can visually show.

Do I approve posts before they go live?

Yes — everything is planned a month ahead and sent for approval. Nothing goes out that you haven't seen.

Do you handle replies and messages?

Yes. Community management and inbox monitoring are included, because that's where most genuine enquiries actually start.

Can you train our team instead?

Yes. We build the strategy, templates and standards, then hand it over and teach your team to run it. See content strategy.
